The Legendary animation studio Cosgrove Hall has officially been torn down according to our friend Barry Purves whom recently posted a image of the destruction of the building. We find it very sad that such a successful and iconic studio is now rubble. The studio was famous for producing stop motion classics, The Wind and the Willows, and the Terry Pratchett series “Truckers”, along with the very famous and popular cell animated “Danger Mouse” just to name a few, is gone forever. Apparently the parcel of land will be converted into an elderly home.
The studio has officially been closed since 2009 and with the recent death of Mark Hall, it seems as if an historic and extremely significant moment in animation history has been snuffed out like a candle. I wish to thank everyone that had ever worked at Cosgrove Hall for providing the world with a little magic and happiness and for making such wonderful art for the world to experience.
