Así de Grande son las ideas (‘Ideas are that great’) is a music video by a Puerto Rican Band, Calle 13. The music video belongs to the Multi viral album, published in 2014. Demonstrating the evolution of the same idea and how its affecting our way of life, is the main premise of the video.
The video has magnificent lyrics. The lyrics of the Puerto Rican band always handles themes. And the of Así de Grande son las ideas is no exception. The animator Quique Rivera Rivera was in charge of bringing this letter to the visual field. Quique Rivera is an artist and award winning filmmaker, and also was a member of LAIKA Annual Scholarship. He and his team create an amazing a visual language for the video under the supervision of René Pérez Joglar who is the songwriter.
The production was nine months to competition, between October 2013 to March 2014, filming in 70 days, and with more than 7,200 photographs. Quique building 16 molds of solid resin, and filled later by silicone. The head and torso was sculpted in plasticine. The skeleton was made with wire to give the flexibility that they were looking for.
