There are your typical zoetropes from cardboard and paper, then, there are your whimsical zoetropes, like “cakes” or with vinyl records.
Then, there´s the Trepo project, by Kenny Sing´s ceramic brand Turn Studio.
The pieces, when spun by a pottery wheel, come to life: simple geometrical shapes and patterns, created digitally and then glazed or carved into the ceramic platters.
The result is beautiful pieces of animation.
