“Guaxuma”, (2018) from Nara Normande, is about memories and childhood. Her inspiration “…is printed with a strong autobiographical background, reflex of my childhood spent in the Brazilian northeast coast. ” The name of the beach of her childhood is the title of the short.
Nara invites us into her memories through sand and paper.
Two years in the making between Brazil and France, “Guaxuma” has won several prizes and keeps earning praise around festivals.
