The Academy Awards recently acknowledged the work done by LAIKA Studios very own Brian McLean and Martin Meunier for their work in 3d Rapid Prototyping. They were awarded an Oscar for Scientific and Engineering on February 13, 2016. LAIKA has long been known for being at the forefront of 3d printing animation technology. This award strengthens stop motion animations place as a viable art form that should be recognized by the entertainment industry. We congratulate Brain MacLean and Martin Meunier for their contribution to the art and LAIKA CEO Travis Knight for his belief and support in furthering the envelope of this amazing art.
