Peter Jacksons Willis O’Brien Armature collection is one of the best in the world. Adam Savage and Tested went and visited Peter Jackson in his huge man cave and were shown all sorts of amazing things. One of the best parts of Peter Jackson’s collection is his stop motion puppet collection. Part of that collection consists of screen used armatures of King Kong (long face version), Might Joe Young, and 3 bird armatures from O’Briens War Eagles that never got produced. The quality of these armatures is amazing given that they are close to a hundred years old. Jackson lovingly talks about the puppets in detail and you can see him beaming with delight in his show and tell for the camera. Check out the video below.
