One of the upsides of this quarantine is the unprecedented access to events around the world, and their contents: conferences, forums, etc., thanks to online streaming.
Tomorrow the Ibero-American Animation Quirino Awards will stream (Facebook Live) their award ceremony for this year, in which the stop motion pieces “The Cubebird” (La Valiente Estudio, Colombia) and “The Peculiar Crime of Oddball Mr Jay” (Cola – Colectivo Audiovisual, Portugal, France) are nominated.
“The new online awards ceremony will be broadcast through the YouTube channel of the Quirino Awards at 8:00 p.m. Spanish time zone (3PM Argentina and Brazil / 1PM Mexico) and the finalist directors will participate in the nine categories: best feature film, series, short film, school short film, commissioned film, animation for video game, visual development, animation design, sound design and original music.”
