Between the works in competition, the stop motion pieces have won best on their categories:
Best Ibero-American Animation Short Film, The Cubicbird, by Jorge Alberto Vega (La Valiente Estudio, Colombia).
Pedro is a caged bird who dreams of life outside. He eats nonstop until the pressure of his big body breaks the cage. He´s free, but now his body is geometric. Turned into a Cube Bird, Pedro flies quickly to help his friends achieve their own freedom.
