Sprite released a commercial in 2017 that was produced by Aardman associated production house Nathan Love titled “Sprite – Thirstiest Time of the Year”. Many people were fooled into believing this was a stop motion production when in fact is was all done in Maya and is a CGI production. Nathan Love does some great work and this piece is definitely a nice commercial that in a way is a tribute to the stop motion feel of past commercials. It’s just really tragic that they didn’t have the time to produce it in stop motion. Even the characters have finger prints embedded into the surfaces of the models. So to all of you that got fooled this year I have to break the sad news to you that this commercial is not stop motion.
