Terry Gilliam – How to Animate Paper
Back in the day well before there was internet or open sources to learn how to animate it was very difficult to find materials to learn from. Animation was often thought of as an art form which held many secrets and to come across anything remotely educational that was focused on learning the art was considered golden knowledge. Terry Gilliam (famed director/animator) whom was mostly known at the time as the animator of all the Monty Python animated shorts was kind enough to do a television special focused on his techniques in an interview for the BBC. This short segment which can be found on YouTube is such a great little lesson full of techniques still very relevant in todays modern stop motion world. Give it a watch and make sure you take notes.
