Treacherous Doctor is a music video animated and directed by the talented Lawrence Becker for the band Wallows, a new indie-rock band form Los Angeles, California. The song featuring in this amazing music video, Treacherous Doctor, is the second track on Wallow’s first official album, Nothing Happens from March, 2019.
The music video for this song was released on September, 2019 and here we meet the band members recreated in felt as they go to the psychologist for a session, and as the song moves forward we can see the animation increasing in rhythm synchronizing with the song. We go from a relaxed scene with smooth colors to a crazy trip in felt and cloth filled with vibrant colors. The animation gets complex as the story progresses. We see very complex turns from the characters as they are made of felt, running cycles and imaginary character movement like monsters.
Lawrence Becker is an animator based in Brooklyn, NY. He’s been animating since he was 14 years old and now he has worked for huge brands like ESPN, Microsoft, Coca-Cola and Cisco. Lawrence has worked with clay, paper and other materials, but felt is a really strong technique he really conquers like a rocker. He’s a great example to all the young ones out there that have interest on becoming a great animator!
