Trnka Retrospective Set for U.S. Tour
The legendary director Jiri Trnka was once considered the Walt Disney of Europe and stop motion, but for many he remains a fairly unknown influencer in the field of animation. The announcement by the Comeback Company and Cartoon Brew about a retrospective tour of all of Trnka’s work is a welcome announcement. This culturally enlightening even will showcase that which made Jiri Trnka a legend. The tour will kick off in New York at the Film Society of Lincoln Center in Manhattan on April 20th and continue until the 25th. Then it will head out on an exciting tour across the U.S. at the following events and locations.
