- Color Palette Match: adapts color balance and contrast to your selected background plate.

Close After Effects, extract the ZIP, and follow START-HERE.txt. Keep both effects and the included licensing file together. Back up any previous installation and replace it without leaving duplicate copies. This beta is not digitally signed.

Activate in After Effects
- Install the Windows SMM FX package with After Effects closed.
- Apply either effect from Effect > SMM FX and open its Options window.
- Paste your activation key and choose Activate / Refresh. This activates both effects.
Use the effects
Apply the effect to your character or foreground layer. Select the background in Reference Layer, then adjust Amount. To match against a plate made from several layers, precompose those layers and select that precomposition as the reference.
Automatic renewal and offline work
SMM FX checks its saved license when After Effects starts and refreshes it online when due. You can work offline for up to three days after a successful check, capped by your access end date. A verified AE session continues until you close it, so expiry does not interrupt that session.
When replacing a computer, release it above. Its slot becomes available after its existing offline license expires. Keep your activation key private.
Licensing data
Activation sends your key and a hashed Windows installation identifier to Stop Motion Magazine. The service stores your account entitlement and computer activation records. Your footage and project files are not sent.
