Aardman, Lionsgate Sign Deal for Shaun the Sheep
In an article written by Jennifer Wolfe over at awn.com (Link) it’s announced that Aardman and Lionsgate have recently signed a distribution deal for the entire Shaun the Sheep catalog of films. This is huge in terms of distribution for Aardman. Give the success of the studios past hits, Shaun the Sheep the Movie was a critics favorite this past year and did well in the domestic and international film markets. So what does this entail for future film and television releases? For one thing all the Shaun the Sheep television shows will now be available on Turner owned tv channel Boomerang and only boosts more interest in the coming release through Amazon Prime of Shaun the Sheep: the Farmer’s Llamas.
Fingers crossed for some more great work from Aardman to come.
