From Dina Velikovskaya, comes her next stop motion short film, Kukuschka”.
“Kukuschka is a bird, who follows the Sun. It seems to her as if she already could touch It, but the Sun is still far away. Suddenly she is not alone anymore, but for two it’s even more difficult to keep going so fast. She will reach the Sun, may be tomorrow may be the day after.”
Set in a dystopian environment, the main character starts firmly with an objective in mind. As it happens in life, she changes her focus mid way, to find something more interesting she wasn´t expecting.
After “My Strange grandfather“, Velikovskaya changes her style, designing a completely different character, still quirky and weird, in a beautiful way.
