On January 21, 2020 Marvel officially announced the voice cast for their mature animated series titled M.O.D.O.K., which would be a comedy show centred around the large-headed Marvel Comics villain.
A press release from Marvel’s television, Marvel TV Studios (formerly Marvel Television) also discloses the project voice actors:
“Marvel TV and HULU unveiled Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., the previously announced animated series, will include the voices of Patton Oswalt, Aimee Garcia, Melissa Fumero,Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ben Schwartz, Beck Bennett, Jon Daly and Sam Richardson! Slated for debut this year, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. signals Marvel’s first endeavor into animated comedy geared towards adults.
In Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., the megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K. (Patton Oswalt) has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth’s mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.’s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is set to confront his greatest challenge yet: a midlife crisis!”
Along the lead, M.O.D.O.K.´s wife Jodie (voiced by Aimee Garcia), will try to maintain her writing career with a personal blog. Completing the family there´s Lou and Melissa, the villains children. Patton Oswalt has said to be a big Marvel fan and fixated on the character, so he jumped at the opportunity to gave M.O.D.O.K his voice in this new, funny depiction.
Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, responsible for Adult Swim series Robot Chicken will be in charge of the MarvelTV/HULU project. Last seen in the Marvel Series “What The–?!”, we can´t wait to see him in his own disfunctional serie.
