Yeah, we kind of freaked out too when we found an old article from 2017 by BigThink.com and I can tell you my next two nights are going to be busy… So what is this course? Well to keep it simple it is an industry approach to story telling taught by Pixar writers. The series is offered by Kahan Academy and gives students and very unique and powerful way to educate themselves online anywhere in the world for free. This 6 part course has subjects listed as “We are all storytellers”, “Character”, “Story Structure”, “Visual Language”, “Film Grammar”, and “Pitching and Feedback”. Peter Doctor starts the series by telling us what a good story is and then we get more insight by Valarie LaPointe, and Lawrence Levy to just name a few of the contributors.
