Aardman Animations legendary director and co-founder Peter Lord has teamed up with Wiper and True in Bristol in a collaborative effort to brew a modern taking of a traditional beer with the “Stop Frame”. This new take on a traditional bitter will have you thirsting for more. With it’s initial release on October 26th at the Nettle & Rye, the beer will soon be available all over Bristol. It is truly a unique experience and tasty from what we’ve heard. The brewery points out that this is traditional best bitter which utilizes bold yeast esters and the use of Cryo hops. The concept behind the beer has to due with two factors. The first is the desire of brewery Wiper & True desiring to celebrate artistic creative companies and artists that reside and work in Bristol. They approached the studio and Peter Lord to produce a uniquely designed flavor. The inspiration for this brew however came from Peter Lord. Having talked about his early years in the creation of Aardman and the flavor of bitter beer he loved back then, the brewers instantly fell in love with the idea of doing a modern take on a traditional classic. The beer is said to “bright citrus flavors” that is “married with sweet toffees of the traditional bitter malt taste”. Okay someone send us a case in the STATES!!!
