NY Animator Taili Wu carefully selected each animal that would appear in her short; every one of them is relevant in its own way. For example, the letter C is Ham the Chimp, who went into space in 1961. The letter D is represented by Twenty, the dalmatian who offered comfort to the NYC firefighters of Ladder 20 after the tragic events of 9/11.
