Open the Portal – New Animation Studio in Los Angeles
Open the Portal is a brand new studio located in of all places an air plane hanger in Los Angeles, California. Comprised of a group of artists, most of which are Cal Arts graduates whom cut their teeth on production for Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, Shadow Machine, and Fox Animation Studios. This rag tag group of friends has set out to make something new and different than all the other facilities in SoCal. The team members currently tied to this facility are David Braun, Micah Cordy, Barrett Slagle, with some newly added members Jason Milov, George Metaxas, and QuiQue Rivera.
Their most recent works and collaborations have been with Katy Perry, Honda, and Sony Music. The studios unique style and approach are a refreshing change in a swirling world of overly saturated ADHD caffeine comma induced media. We look forward to what they will be releasing in the future.
