Iris L. Moore is a Canadian artist whose work includes illustration, painting and cut out animation. Her short films revolve around self acknowledgement and serene personal and emotional wonder.
After designing her characters, Iris handcrafts each piece, paints them with watercolour, cuts and animates them. There is no CGI in her work.
“The Evening Thread” presents a grandmother sharing her life with her granddaughter.
With a beautiful character design, this story shows a loving bond, a process of sharing between elder and young, maybe a tradition in Moore´s characters universe. You should check her work!
