Aardman & TikTok Invite Fans Into Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom
Aardman Animations, the studio behind Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, is giving fans a dream chance. Together with TikTok, the studio has launched a contest that lets one superfan appear in clay in the next Shaun the Sheep movie, The Beast of Mossy Bottom. The film is set to release in 2026.
How the Contest Works
Fans can join by posting a TikTok video using the hashtag #ShaunTheSheepMovie3. Videos should show why they are Shaun’s number one fan.
Ideas include:
-
A Shaun-inspired haircut
-
A themed cake
-
A handmade puppet
-
Or even a short stop-motion tribute
The 20 videos with the most engagement will be reviewed by a panel of experts. From those, one winner will be chosen. That winner will be sculpted in clay and placed into the movie.
Entries open on September 4 and close on October 30 at 11:59 p.m. Entrants must live in the U.K.
Why Aardman Loves the Idea
“Shaun is a social media star himself, with a combined following of over 14 million,” said Sean Clarke, Aardman’s Managing Director. “We’re excited to offer this prize and hopefully make one superfan’s dream come true.”
TikTok’s Head of Operations for the U.K., Ireland, and Nordics, Dominic Burns, added: “Shaun has found a whole new fanbase on the platform. This is a one-of-a-kind competition that could only happen on TikTok.”
Shaun’s New Adventure
The film’s story begins with Halloween excitement at Mossy Bottom Farm. But things quickly go wrong when the Farmer destroys the flock’s pumpkin patch. Shaun’s wild attempt to fix it unleashes chaos, a missing farmer, and a beast roaming the woods.
Writers Mark Burton (Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, Paddington in Peru) and Giles Pilbrow (Horrible Histories) are behind the script. Directors Steve Cox (Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas) and Matthew Walker (Lloyd of the Flies) are leading the project.
Sky will release the film in U.K. cinemas and on Sky Cinema, while StudioCanal handles distribution worldwide.
A Dream for Stop-Motion Fans
This contest is more than a promotion. It gives one fan the chance to become part of Aardman’s clay world. For anyone who has ever loved stop-motion, it’s the ultimate prize.
