CELSYS Ignites Global Creators with Comic Market Showcase and Global Comic Awards

The company made waves at Comic Market 106 in August while simultaneously announcing the Sixth Global Comic Awards, co-hosted with Artfol.

On August 16–17, 2025, CELSYS welcomed attendees at its Comic Market 106 booth, inviting fans and professionals alike to test-drive Clip Studio Paint and connect directly with the team. Known as the world’s largest creators’ event, Comic Market has long been a stage where CELSYS fosters dialogue with artists.
Beyond Japan, the company extends this outreach globally through sponsorships at Japan Expo in France and Anime Expo in the United States, using its international team to tailor strategies that resonate with local creative communities. The Sixth Global Comic Awards
Launching September 1 and running through November 28, 2025, the Global Comic Awards invite submissions under the theme “Déjà Vu.” Open to creators of all ages and backgrounds, the contest emphasizes originality and storytelling in a single-page comic of up to 10 panels.
Prizes include:
- Grand Prize: US $3,300 + a three-year Clip Studio Paint EX license
- Runner-up Awards (2): US $1,000 each + license
- Excellence Awards (10): US $150 each + one-year license
Entries will be judged by leading figures such as Italian comic artist Mirka Andolfo (Sweet Paprika, Unnatural) and illustrator Jaki King (Ladykillers). A wide network of publishing partners, from KADOKAWA to Glénat Manga, ensures winners gain visibility well beyond the contest stage.
