Over the Garden Wall Charity Auction Brings Greg & Wirt to Life for a Cause
A unique charity auction hosted by Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal is giving animation fans the chance to own hand-crafted sculptures of Greg and Wirt — the beloved brothers from Over the Garden Wall. The auction, which ends today, November 3 2025, raises funds for sick children and their families at Bristol Children’s Hospital and its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The two sculptures — created from the original puppet molds used in the 2024 stop-motion short An Elephant Never Forgets — were crafted by renowned puppet makers Joshua Flynn and Nathan Flynn. Standing 15 cm (Greg) and 24 cm (Wirt) tall, each figure is resin-cast, hand-painted, and mounted on an oak base. Both are signed by Over the Garden Wall creator Patrick McHale along with directors Mikey Please and Dan Ojari, known for their work at Blink Industries (Robin Robin, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared).
As exclusive, one-of-a-kind collector’s pieces, the sculptures capture the carved-wood charm of the stop-motion short, blending artistry and nostalgia with heartfelt purpose. Proceeds from every bid directly support The Grand Appeal, the official charity for Bristol Children’s Hospital, helping fund life-saving medical equipment, family accommodations, and vital support programs for patients.
The auction runs through 7:00 pm (UK time) on Monday, November 3, and is hosted via People’s Fundraising. Fans and collectors alike can place final bids at
